SAM.L COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA - ', the bluing was refreshed or the barrel was changed in times of use. Lowered six-shot cylinder, featuring a beautiful naval battle engraving, marks 'K', 'Q', and patent mark 'COLTS PATENT No. 1694' and 'PAT SEPT. 10th 185?'. Working mechanics. Frame marked 'COLT'S PATENT'. Coeval serial no. '144xxx' on barrel, frame, trigger guard. Grip-strap with partial serial no. coeval with the others. Brass trigger guard. Wooden handle. Frame, cylinder and back strap with 40% of the original bluing. length 36.5 cm.
